Neon Maneuvers — The Engineer

$10.00

Here is the long-awaited fourth album offering from The Engineer, "Neon Maneuvers". Taking cues from the subcultures of dark warehouse raves, cyberpunk films and manga, along with the sonic influences from artists such as Autechre, Art Of Noise, Kölsch, Hans Zimmer, Lorn, and techno's heaviest hitting DJs and producers, The Engineer brings us into the areas of High Tech and Low Life. While speaker-bleeding tracks like "Node Walker" and "Iron Fist" are clearly for the dance floors, there are also lighter offerings like the drum-less "Source", and the holographic love anthem "Love Override". Other stand out dance floor monsters would be the off-kilter "Hack The Gibson", and the gravity-defying "Weightless". To close the album is the thoughtful, introspection of a track "Legacy", which gets you thinking about how you're going to leave your own mark in this world. Tears may follow the answer. Even though this album has been three years in the works, this is definitely The Engineer's finest work to date.
