ABOUT THE MIX:
Towards the end of August, I was going through my music to pick tracks for 909 Day. But there's just too many amazing songs to put them all into a 60 minute mix, let along a 90 minute one. At first is was all going to be just tracks made with 909s in it, then it was going to be a rave mix, and all sorts of permutations. What ended up being the mix you'll hear, is a mixture of some classic Detroit techno (RIP Kelli Hand), along with some serious 909 workouts from both Jeff Mills and Richie Hawtin under his Plastikman moniker. It wouldn't be a 909 mix without Inner City's "Good Life", and it's the 2017 Extended version presented here.
Now, I always make sure I present, support, and assist in whatever capacity I can to my fellow local DJs and producers, and I am happy to bring you the first single from ByrneFellman. A really dope piece of techno madness. So proud of these guys. I got to see them play live at Anthracite back in July, and it was monstrous. So, if you were at that party, you'll hear some of that here in the mix. Plus lots of other techno and rave goodies for you to bounce around to!
